Lowcarbezine! An Explanation and Apology

Hey, Gang --

I've had a number of queries as to what has happened to Lowcarbezine!, and I owe you all an explanation and apology. I had every intention of writing Lowcarbezine! every two to three weeks over this summer. I am writing another book, and my column, but would have been able to do the newletter as well, until...

Our dream house came up for sale three doors down. We've needed a bigger house for a while now, but we couldn't bear to leave our beloved neighborhood. Suddenly, the house we'd dreamed of was up for sale.

We scrambled to get an offer in quickly, knowing there would be tons of competition. Then we scrambled to find a mortgage broker. We needed to pull money out of other properties, and scrambled to get work done on them in time to qualify for mortgages and meet our deadlines. Heck, I even spent 10 days in Voice Mail Hell going round and round with the IRS.

It consumed all our spare time and then some for many weeks. But it worked! We close on the 1st of August. Which, of course, means that quite a lot of August will be consumed with packing and unpacking -- as well as finishing the latest cookbook.

I miss Lowcarbezine!, I really do. I'm sorry to let you all down, and I very much miss your feedback. But of course I have to do the work I'm contracted to do, and which pays my bills, first. And the chance for the House Of A Lifetime doesn't come up very often.

So I'm afraid I'm not likely to turn out another Lowcarbezine! much before September or October. To make up for it just a little, we'll be sending out some of my Low Carb For Life columns, and we hope very much you enjoy them.

Lowcarbezine! is not dead! It just awaits a day when I'm not in a total frenzy. I beg your patience and understanding.

Thank you. It warms my heart more than you can possibly know that people miss the 'zine so much.

Dana
